privacy notice
This notice covers the standalone NerdQuestr beta-interest form. It does not cover registration for, or use of, the main NerdQuestr platform.
Who is collecting your information?
NerdQuestr is operated by Amanda Larson in Alberta, Canada. For questions about this form or your information, contact beta@nerdquestr.com.
What we collect and why
We collect your preferred contact name, preferred email, any alternative email you provide, selected beta-testing roles, tabletop experience and individual sessions hosted or played in the past 30 days where applicable, optional game preferences, and relevant art or event details. We also record your age confirmation, beta-contact permission, any optional survey permission, the form and notice versions, and a submission timestamp supplied by your browser. We also record a server receipt time, submission reference, review and notification status, and hashed values used to detect duplicate submissions and limit repeated applications. These values are stored with your application; they do not make it anonymous.
We use the core interest-form information to review interest, select and coordinate suitable testers, contact you about beta invitations and participation, and respond to your questions. We may report overall signup and selected-role totals without identifying individuals. This is not permission for general newsletters, advertising or unrelated marketing. The form does not create a main-platform account or a public listing.
The optional “Help shape NerdQuestr” survey
The survey is a separate choice. It is excluded unless you check its permission box. Every survey question may be skipped. You can withdraw survey permission separately without leaving the beta-interest list. If you uncheck the permission box before submitting, the survey answers are excluded; the “Skip survey” button also clears those answers while keeping your core contact form filled in.
If you opt in, we collect only the survey answers you choose to provide. These may include country or territory, time zone, communities or services you use, current difficulties, referral source, beta readiness, recent paid gaming activity, estimated future session listings, a session budget and its currency, artist listing goals and order activity, and event activity and listing plans.
We use these optional answers for product planning and customer research, including understanding current needs, prioritizing features and organizing beta testing. We may include non-identifying summaries in business-planning and funding discussions. We will not include names, email addresses, portfolio or event links, identifiable free-text responses, or combinations that could reasonably identify someone in those summaries. We do not publish identifiable quotes or individual commitments without separate permission.
This is not an anonymous survey. Survey answers arrive in the same submission as your contact information. Access to identifiable responses is limited to people authorized to administer beta testing and conduct this research. A budget or proposed listing is an estimate, not an agreement to buy, sell or participate.
Required and optional information
Required fields are marked. Tabletop experience and session counts are optional when you select neither Game Master nor Player. Alternative contact details, portfolio and event links, game preferences and the entire research survey may be omitted. If you choose to enter a survey number or budget, complete that answer or return its selection to “Skip this question.” Do not include sensitive information, passwords, identity documents, payment details, medical information, or other people’s private details. This list is for adults aged 18 or older; we ask for confirmation, not a birth date or identity document.
Services that handle the information
Vercel hosts this page. Google Apps Script receives and validates your submission and saves accepted applications in a private Google Sheet controlled through our Google Workspace account. Our script uses basic spam and duplicate checks and protective submission limits. Email notifications to our beta inbox include a submission reference, selected roles, a private-sheet link and your preferred email as the reply address. Notifications may be delayed or unavailable because of limits or delivery problems; the spreadsheet is our application record. Copies may be held in restricted spreadsheets, limited-access exports, and correspondence used for beta administration or permitted research. These providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, timestamps and security logs. Submissions are not available to the public.
These services may process information outside your country, including in the United States, where laws and government access rules may differ. This page does not install advertising or behavioural analytics, request device location, or save your answers in browser local storage. If you use the device time-zone button, it reads your browser's time-zone setting, not your precise location. The Google-hosted submission and confirmation service may use its own cookies and technical checks.

How long we keep the information
We keep identifiable interest-list submissions, survey answers and any exports for up to 12 months from submission, unless you request their removal sooner or join a beta programme covered by a separate notice. We may keep limited records longer where legally required or needed to honour a request not to be contacted. Removing a spreadsheet response does not automatically remove related emails, exports or version-history copies; we manage those copies separately where available. Non-identifying aggregate statistics may be retained longer. Service-provider backup and security-log retention may differ.
Your choices
You may withdraw permission for beta contact, withdraw optional survey permission only, or request access, correction or deletion by emailing beta@nerdquestr.com. We may need to confirm that you control the relevant email address before acting. Withdrawal does not undo processing already completed or remove your contribution from statistics that no longer identify you. We will handle requests subject to applicable legal requirements.
Changes to this notice
If our collection or intended use changes materially, we will update this notice and seek any additional permission required. Your interest submission is not permission for unrelated future uses.
